Kennewick, WA – The Tri-Cities Fever continued to add talent and depth to its defensive secondary, signing defensive back Rudell Crim.

Crim, a former junior college All-American, is a former standout for the University of Arkansas, and is the seventh defensive back signed to the Fever’s 2012 training camp roster.

“He is a great player with great instincts for finding the ball,” said Fever coach Adam Shackleford.

Crim played in 26 games the past two seasons (2009 and 2010) for the Razorbacks and was a key cog in the team’s improved defense.

Crim made the switch from cornerback to safety his senior season and he helped the Razorbacks finish the regular season with a 10-2 record and a spot in the Sugar Bowl.  In his senior season, he had three interceptions, and 53 tackles. As a junior, he started all 13 games and tied for the team lead with four pass-breakups.

Prior to Arkansas, he was an All-American at Butler Community College in Kansas. Crim was named a top 10 junior college prospect by Rivals.com.

The Tri-Cities Fever, a member of the Indoor Football League, opens its eighth season at home on Feb. 25, 2012. For information about Fever season tickets contact the Fever office at (509)222-2215 or visit us on line at www.tricitiesfever.com.
