FEVER RE-SIGN THE AMAZING OFFENSIVE THREAT STEVEN WHITEHEAD

KENNEWICK, WA – Electric Wide Receiver/Running Back  Steven Whitehead has re-signed with your defending IFL Intense Conference Champion Tri-Cities Fever. Whitehead’s signing brings the number of players back in camp for the 2012 season from the 2011 title game squad to 8. In the 2011 regular season Whitehead had 58 catches for 667 yards and 10 touchdowns.  But it was in the 2011 IFL playoffs that Whitehead stepped his game up to a level unmatched by anyone in the 2011 IFL playoffs:  Whitehead was first in touchdowns scored (8); first in catches (24); first in yards gained (298) and was 2nd in the 2011 IFL playoffs in all purpose yards.

Head Coach Adam Shackleford said, “Steven is the most explosive player I have ever coached and I’m very happy he’ll be back in camp to showcase his game changing abilities and take our team to where we want to go in 2012.”

Whitehead is from the New Orleans, LA area and attended McNeese St. University.

The Tri-Cities Fever, a member of the Indoor Football League, opens its eighth season at home on Feb. 25, 2012. For information about Fever season tickets contact the Fever office at (509) 222-2215 or visit us on line at www.tricitiesfever.com.
