The Fever Perceiver
Well, well, well…three months since the last blog. Really? Responsibilites shirked. Guilty as charged. I’ll make sure this is taken better care of. Maybe. It probably means little or nothing to you, but my out-of-Fever world has been quite crazy in the last quarter including, but not limited to: acting as my own attorney in my kids re-location case (I was unsuccessful) and getting back on the radio with not one, but two different radio companies featuring jockeying amongst radio signals and formats on FM . Toss in Christmas and Thanksgiving family funsies including heavy travel and I can see how the time got away….suffice to say….the dust has settled and now you can catch Morning mayhem M-F 0600-1000 on Eagle 106.5FM. Classic Rock Mornings with Jaxson, Shawna and Curt Cartier….interesting how I’m back on a station I started with when I moved to the Columbia Basin in 1993…..
I re-read the last foray into this blogature and I’m about as spot on picking political peeps as I am beating the spread betting NFL games. Over the season if I had bet $100.00 on every game I would have made $400.00. Just 4 games above .500 and come to think of it, you have to bet $110.00 to get a hundred back so, realistically, I’d be in the hole over the course of the season. Maybe sports betting is illegal in most of the country for a reason…..I should be thankful, but I’m not.
The Fever office is simply buzzing. The way our Fever world works is a lot like the military. Hurry up and wait. When our season really hits high gear (now, ramping up for the home opener 2/25) that’s when we get answers back from many of our potential season partners as their budgets don’t kick in until right about the time our deadlines roll around for dang near everything we do. It seems like a new slam dunk deal is done every other day, which means we have to adjust our inventory projections for the game experience. Let’s just say the action will be jam packed on the field with no let up when it’s time for the fans to get in on it, too.
The Fever continues to build the brand, the product, the presentation and the performance. We’ve all got a great feeling about this year because we have continuity, commitment and the knowledge of how to get it done and still follow all the rules. The Fever has a bevy of returning sponsors and some new blood in 2012 to share the Fever experience. Coming to the Fever game day experience: The return of Cline Computers “Show Me the Money” plus RDO Equipment Company John Deere Kid Trike Races and other cool new wrinkles. Musically, the Fever will continue to be on the cutting edge of audio entertainment using our sound and urging our crowd to make the Fever’s IFL experience second to none. We love to entertain.
Doing some research on the team, Coach Shack has once again padded the roster with amazing talent. The high caliber of men as players and human beings will be on display again in 2012. This is the 3rd year of Coach Shack’s 3 year plan and the Fever is confident the fruits of our labor will continue to come to fruition this year. We have so many “cusp” guys, it’s scary. By “cusp” guys I mean dudes who are so good, they are on the cusp of jumping to a higher league with better pay. We will be fierce, we will be fast and we will fortify our fortress at home.
Like the Fever on Facebook, follow the Fever on twitter (@TCFever) or Coach Shack (@hcfever). Live the Dream, Join the Team! Fever Open Tryout set for February 11th. Season Ticket holder bash is on Sunday the 19th 2-4pm upstairs in the Sunset Lounge @ Toyota Center. We will have speaks between now and then. Promise. Maybe. I’ll try. Like, real hard, ok? Till next time, keep ‘er in the holster.
